An action romp through Jackie Chan's past (Finest Chan, 1976's Drunken Master, and Chan's failed attempt to perform his own stunt work), Stuntmaster only exhibits the first marker of Jackie's boxer affectations. A lumberjack can swing a chainsaw, Jackie wields a pair of boxing gloves during an intermission. There's no need for screen space; the polish within the game reflects the well-realized Jackie Chan universe. The cutscenes are glitch-a-free, with crisp colors and sharp detail. The soundtrack shows Jackie's varied interests (boxeer, acrobat, musician, etc.), and keeps pace with the action.
What if I told you there was a Jackie Chan game that packed in a lot of the trademark choreography but removed the puzzles? This is more like it, since it features some pretty fantastic platforming and intense action plus, surprisingly, a few puzzle-solving mini-games.
